The Camino de Santiago

The Camino de Santiago (or The Way of St. James) is the pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, in northwestern Spain. Legend says that the buried remains of the apostle Saint James the Great are found in Santiago de Compostela.

With Santiago Ways, you can book the following Organized Camino de Santiago itineraries:

  • The French Way
  • The Portuguese Way
  • The Northern Way
  • The Aragonese Way
  • The English Way
  • The Finisterre Way
  • The Primitivo Way
  • The Silver Route
  • The Lebaniego Way
  • The Catalan Way

For those clients who are about to have their first experience on the Camino, we recommend doing the last section of the French Way, from Sarria to Santiago. This is because there are several sections with very little elevation gain and it is also the route with the best signage that is the most well-adapted to pilgrims.

Even so, the selection of Camino de Santiago routes is extensive and varied; the length, level of difficulty and even the landscapes all change considerably from one to the other, so we are happy to offer personalized advice in order to find the Camino itinerary that best suits the needs and preferences of your clients.

In addition, it is important to keep in mind the minimum distances that are required in order to obtain the “Compostela” pilgrim certificate: walking the last 100 km on foot, or 200 km for those traveling by bicycle.

Self-guided individual trips

These trips are organized in such a way so that they can be self-guided, that is, we will provide the pilgrims with all the information needed to complete the Camino de Santiago, and then they can choose to organize their days based on their individual preferences.

Furthermore, they will be in direct contact with all of our suppliers on the Camino and will have access to an assistance vehicle en route along with a 24/7 emergency telephone for any questions they may have.

Pilgrims will receive their “Credencial de Peregrino” or Pilgrim Passport at their first accommodations, which they can then use to collect stamps throughout their journey.

  • Accommodations

All of our accommodations offer a private room with a private bathroom, and include everything from rural homes, hotels, hostels or traditional Galician “pazos”, depending on what’s available at each location.

The majority of the accommodations are located in the towns themselves at the end of each stage. However, in some cases, in order to guarantee the best available option, the pilgrims would be moved to other accommodations that are within a radius of only a few kilometers.

  • Meals Plan

Clients can choose between receiving breakfast, half board (breakfast and dinner), or breakfast, a picnic lunch and dinner.

Likewise, we adapt to specific dietary requests or allergy needs so that the client can be worry-free.

  • Luggage transfer

We take care of transporting all of our pilgrims’ luggage during every stage, so that they only have to carry a small backpack with everything they need for that day’s walk.

The luggage will be collected each morning at the place where they are staying and will be moved to the following accommodation before 2 pm.

  • Additional services

We offer our clients several additional services such as transfer to and from airports, train stations or bus stations, in order to facilitate their arrival at their first accommodations or after having completed their Camino trip.

They can also book guided tours or excursions that will complement their experience on the Camino de Santiago.
