Our cancellation policy is clear and simple, we explain it below.

All cancellations must be notified to Santiago Ways by e-mail indicating the reservation number to: info@santiagoways.com.

With Cancellation Insurance

Santiago Ways recommends to contract a Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking.

We offer a Cancellation Insurance that covers cancellation expenses for the following reasons, duly justified: medical, family or work related.

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the start date of the Camino: 100% of the total amount of the reservation* will be refundable.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the start date of the Camino: 80% of the total amount of the reservation* will be refundable.

*The total amount of the reservation is understood to be the sum of 20% of the deposit required to confirm the trip + 80% of the rest of the trip payment.

Any cancellation must be communicated at least 72 hours prior to the start of the trip.

Additionally, the cost of the Cancellation Insurance and the cost of the Travel Assistance Insurance, in case it has been contracted, will be deducted from the amount to be reimbursed.

Santiago Ways will reimburse the customer the total amount of the total price when forced to cancel any of the services. However, Santiago Ways will not have the obligation to do so in case of situations of force majeure: beyond the control of those who invoke it, abnormal, unavoidable consequences, etc.

Note: any cancellation request received after 20:00 on Friday will be understood as received on the following business day. In addition, cancellations received by e-mail will not take effect until the next business day, according to the Spanish public holiday calendar.

No Cancellation Insurance

The user may cancel the requested services at any time, taking into account the following points:

  • Cancellations made at least 30 days prior to the start date of the Camino: 80% of the total amount of the reservation* will be refundable.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days and more than 15 days prior to the start date of the Camino: 50% of the total amount of the reservation* will be refundable.
  • Cancellations made less than 15 days before the start date of the Camino: 0% of the total amount of the reservation* will be refundable.

*The total amount of the reservation is understood to be the sum of 20% of the deposit required to confirm the trip + 80% of the rest of the trip payment.

Any cancellation must be communicated at least 72 hours prior to the start of the trip.

In addition, the cost of Travel Assistance Insurance, in case it has been contracted, will be deducted from the amount to be reimbursed.

These conditions are maintained in the event of personal reasons or for any other reason.

Santiago Ways recommends to contract a Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking.

Change of reserves

Any changes made to a reservation (including any change of name, number of persons, type of pension, type of room, additional nights requested or withdrawn, among others) must be communicated by email to info@santiagoways.com and will be subject to the corresponding charges for the modification:

  • A handling fee of €60 per person per change will be applied.
  • The consumer will be responsible for any additional costs that may occur as a result of the requested changes.

Any change of dates made to a reservation:

  • A handling fee of €100 per person per change will be applied.

The aforementioned changes must be communicated at least 15 days prior to the start date of the Camino, otherwise, additional expenses may be incurred as a consequence of the requested changes.
