On your route today you will walk along the old fishermen's trails until you reach Odeceixe Beach. Along the way, don't forget to see the herons that will pass by as you advance along the mouth of the River Seixe.

Next, the pine and eucalyptus trees will be the main event on the trail before arriving in Aljezur, where you can get to know the famous Aljezur Castle, of polygonal floor plan and Arab origin, whose construction dates back to the 12th and 13th centuries. You should know it, it’s a must-visit on this stage of your hike.

As a curious fact, we would tell you that its name comes from the ancient Roman watchtower whose remains can still be seen at the end of this cape located on the shores of the Atlantic.

When you continue to your destination today, Carrapateira, you will meet up again with the coast. The views you will have will make all the effort of this day worthwhile.

    Length: 23 km
