Hiking trail in La Tramontana

1

Arrival in Esporles

Today you start your hiking trail in La Tramontana when an inclusive transfer takes you from Palma Airport to the village of Esporles, from where tomorrow you will start walking.

Once there, the visit to La Granja d'Esporles is a must. You will have the opportunity to discover this great mansion from the Roman era, in addition to enjoying its gardens and unparalleled landscapes.

2

From Esporles to Valldemossa

Breakfast included.

When you leave Esporles you will walk along a rural path from where you must take an ascent towards Coll de Sa Basseta. You'll see the sea and get to know something about the rural industry of yesteryear.

The walk is unmatched by any other hiking route thanks to the numerous panoramic views that are presented in front of you as you walk: coal burning settlements, old lime kilns and old forest dwellings.

3

Hike to Deia

Breakfast included.

Today you will have a route with a steep climb that goes from Valldemossa, along old mule tracks. Afterwards, you'll start your descent to Deia, your destination for today, while enjoying the views of the northwest of the island.

The colour of the façades in Deia, all of them light brown, almost honey colour, has been the cradle of inspiration for multiple artists during the 19th century. In fact, in addition to being recognized as one of the most charming villages in Mallorca, it is also known as a very bohemian municipality.

4

Hike to Soller

Breakfast included.

On your route today you will walk through large olive groves until you reach the old telegraph station of Muleta, on the highest tip of the Cap Gros cliffs.

In Port de Soller, meanwhile, the immense bay and its sandy beach will allow you to enjoy the good atmosphere and, if you want, a good glass of wine in front of the sea, after having enjoyed your day. Finally, you can head by tram to Soller.

5

Transfer to the Cuber Reservoir and hike to Soller

Breakfast included.

Today you will be taken on a short transfer to the Cuber Reservoir. Once there, you will have to walk to L'Ofre, with incredible views of Puig Major.

Then, you will continue to the Barranco de Biniaraix trail, where the dry stone trails perfectly highlight the way they have blended with the natural environment. At the end of your walk, you will reach valleys of orange trees that stand out on the way to Soller.

6

Transfer to Cuber and hike to the Lluc Monastery

Breakfast included.

Today you will be taken to Cuber and you will have to go through the Massanella Massif while enjoying the views of its beautiful mountains and get to know traditional rural life. This day is somewhat difficult, which you will see rewarded throughout your journey for its beauty and its stunning landscapes.

7

Hike to Pollenca

Breakfast included.

This last stage of your hiking trail will allow you to rest a little after some arduous days and will take you along stony and shaded paths from where you can perfectly see the famous Puig Tomir mountain.

You will pass through the Chapel of S'Ermita, formerly the home of hermits. You can also see as you walk the Binifaldo estate, once owned by the Knights Templar.

When you arrive in Pollenca, whose culture is traditionally in making coffee and its infrastructure stands out for its charming squares, you can enjoy your last afternoon in La Tramontana with Santiago Ways.

8

Return from Pollenca

Breakfast included.

Today your hiking route in La Tramontana with Santiago Ways finishes.* You will take your inclusive transfer back to Palma from where you can take your flight back to your home city.

*Remember that when you book your circuit you can ask us to book additional hotel nights for the days after the end of your circuit to extend your stay in one of the municipalities in La Tramontana.
