Today you will arrive at Seville airport from your home city. From there, you should take a bus to Aracena, which will take you about 1 hour, where a driver will take you to Los Marines to spend your first night of this walking holiday.
If you prefer, we can book you an additional private transfer from Seville Airport to Los Marines.
If you arrive during the day, we suggest you try some of the traditional regional dishes such as Iberian pork or Aracena cheese. It will be the best way for you to begin your experience.
Overnight: Los Marines
Today you will be transferred to Aracena to start your route. There, we recommend that you get to know Las Grutas de las Maravillas and the underground lakes, and then start the walk to your final destination for today: Corteconcepción. Your journey will start along stone trails and a spectacular valley, passing through some farms until you reach Corteconcepción. Once there, the visit to the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción, from the 16th century, you will love the bullring.
When you leave the village, you will find large farmlands with Iberian pigs and livestock which are typical in this area of Andalusia. When you return to Aracena, you can enjoy the town, try some of its authentic cuisine and take a taxi back on your own to your accommodation.

Today you will go to Cortelazor through forests and valleys characterized by the tranquillity they offer to their walkers. Once you pass through the village of Corterrangel, you will reach some stone paths, and surrounded by spring flowers, they will guide you to Cortelazor, your destination today.
When you are in the village, which stands out for its life and rural atmosphere, why not try out some tapas in the bars on the square that will be evident thanks to its colourful façades.

For today's hike, you will travel through ravines and across streams until you reach Valdelarco, from where you will have spectacular views. You will continue to Navahermosa and continue along orchard and olive grove trails that will take you back to Cortelazor. Remember that you are in a region which is rich in local gastronomy, so be sure to try the desserts made with honey, olive oil and Aracena goat's cheese.

Your hike today will begin as a climb along a valley that stands out for its stunning green landscape which surrounds it. You will cross farmland and find donkeys, birds and livestock typical of the rural area in this region of Spain. When you arrive at Fuenteheridos, remember to stop and enjoy a good meal in its typical bars.
Then, follow through the hills and start descending towards Alájar, a village with stone streets and full of traditions and gastronomy that you will fall in love with.

Today you will enjoy your walk more than you can imagine. You will walk across farmland and numerous orchards that will take you to the village of Los Madroñeros, the essence of highland architecture, and then on to Linares de Sierra. Once there, visit the Church of San Juan Bautista and its popular old fountain.
On your way back to Alájar, you'll go through large trees and citrus plantations that will allow you to start seeing in the distance the white houses of today's final destination.

Today you will walk above the village of Almonaster la Real, until you reach Cerro San Cristóbal while enjoying stunning views of the Sierra de Aracena. When you're in the village, remember to visit the 10th-century mosque at the top of the hill.
Return to Alájar in the afternoon after your walk and do not hesitate to try the food and get to know the places you haven't yet seen. Take advantage of your last night of your trip.

It will depend on each walker the fulfilment of these times and distances, according to the speed at which they advance.
Both sedentary people and those who regularly exercise should physically prepare for any of our hiking trails.
Sedentary people can start with moderate activity and continue progressively. They should start by taking small 20-minute walks, two or three times a week. It is suggested to increase the time until you reach walk about 4 or 5 kilometres every hour.
People with regular physical activity can start by walking from 45 to 60 minutes a day and increase the amount of time and kilometres they travel in the same span of time.
Generally, it is recommended to start training about three months before starting the route.
There is no minimum number of days in advance to book, although on certain dates the occupancy of the accommodation is higher, especially in high season.
Therefore, in order to guarantee availability in the best accommodation, we suggest you book as much in advance as possible, so that we can meet all your needs.
For any of our routes we suggest you to bring the following items: light and fast drying clothing, waterproof jacket and trousers, sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a pair of shoes suitable for hiking, trekking poles, a pair of shoes to rest in, a jacket that doesn't take up much space and a bottle to carry water.
Depending on the time of year in which you make the route, these items may vary.
Remember that with Santiago Ways, you have included a baggage transfer service between stages, so we will take your backpack from one accommodation to another so that you only worry about walking (maximum 1 piece of 20 kg per person).
For this reason, we suggest you prepare a second backpack, much smaller, that you can carry with you every day with water, sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, documents, some food and cash.
Every day, at 8:00 am, you must bring your luggage, properly labelled, to the reception. One of our carriers will pick it up and take it to the place where you are going to stay on your next stage.
Delivery time varies according to the distance between stages and the carrier's delivery route. Usually, delivery is made before 4 p.m.
Please note that on many routes you sleep more than one night in the same accommodation, so the baggage transfer will not be necessary in these cases.
